An Arvada metropolis worker died Wednesday aft an mishap past week erstwhile the lawnmower helium was riding overturned and pinned him underwater.

Joe Herrin, who worked for the city’s parks and attraction crew, was mowing astatine Jack B. Tomlinson Park astatine 51st and Garrison streets Thursday erstwhile the mower overturned and pinned him nether the h2o of Birdland Lake.

Firefighters and constabulary responded and pulled Herrin retired from the water; helium was hospitalized and was admitted to the intensive attraction unit. He died aboriginal Wednesday morning.
